(<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ediksmuide.be\/nieuws\/nieuws\/diksmuide-nieuws-grote-markt-gebreken\/#\">klik hier<\/a>). Amper 5 jaar na de heraanleg van de Grote Markt maakte hij zich toen reeds zorgen over de toestand van zowel het wegdek als de voetpaden, in zowel de Generaal Baron Jacquesstraat als op de Grote Markt. Toen reeds riep hij op tot een dringend herstel. Zo niet dreigde volgens hem het vernietigend proces van verdwenen voegen en gebroken stenen nog sneller te evolueren.<br \/>\nToenmalig bevoegd schepen Marc Deprez stelde toen dat het stadsbestuur op de hoogte was en alle schadegevallen in kaart had gebracht. Werd intussen ook gezocht met de aannemer en het studiebureau naar de oorzaak, toen reeds sloot hij een juridische procedure niet uit. Diksmuide wil immers niet opdraaien voor de herstellingskosten.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-layout-column fusion_builder_column fusion-builder-column-2 fusion_builder_column_1_2 1_2 fusion-flex-column\" style=\"--awb-bg-size:cover;--awb-width-large:50%;--awb-margin-top-large:0px;--awb-spacing-right-large:3.84%;--awb-margin-bottom-large:20px;--awb-spacing-left-large:3.84%;--awb-width-medium:50%;--awb-order-medium:0;--awb-spacing-right-medium:3.84%;--awb-spacing-left-medium:3.84%;--awb-width-small:100%;--awb-order-small:0;--awb-spacing-right-small:1.92%;--awb-spacing-left-small:1.92%;\"><div class=\"fusion-column-wrapper fusion-column-has-shadow fusion-flex-justify-content-flex-start fusion-content-layout-column\"><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-3\"><p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bij de zoektocht naar een oplossing voor de kapotte natuursteenverharding in zowel de betrokken straten (foto boven) als de voetpaden (foto onder), werd in samenspraak met de betrokken aannemer en het studiebureau een gerechtsdeskundige aangesteld. Deze zal een proefherstel laten uitvoeren op de hoek van de Grote Markt en de Koning Albertstraat.<br \/>\nVerkeer komende vanuit de Koning Albertstraat, Generaal Baron Jacquesstraat en Kiekenstraat zal tijdens de maand maart de Grote Markt vanuit die richting niet kunnen oprijden. Verkeer komende van de De Breyne Peellaertstraat en Admiraal Ronarchstraat zal evenwel vanuit deze richting de Grote Markt (en parkeerplaatsen aan die zijde) wel nog kunnen kunnen oprijden. Wel zal men dus niet verder kunnen doorrijden dan huisnummer 29.
